So, did you guess what it is? If you guessed garlic than good for you. Garlic has many health benefits. Each and every day there are studies coming out that prove that reality. Look up garlic on google and you will see the new studies that are coming out on the many more benefits of garlic. New studies are coming out every day.
The main reason why I am a big supporter of garlic is because it is a very powerful antibiotic. And, it is natural. You can add it to your cooking or take in pill form. Whichever way that you choose the health benefits are enormous.
Garlic is a natural antibacterial. You should know that a bacterial infection is probably the hardest thing to get rid of. And, it is easy to catch. Basically, every thing that you may touch may have bacteria in it. Scary isn’t it.
Garlic is a natural anti fungal. Those are those nasty fungus infections. Let’s say you work out at a gym. You can easily get a foot fungus if your not careful. Peoples sweat is all over in those places. On the equipment and on the benches.
And, the last, garlic is a natural anti viral. Anything that is viral is flowing in the air that you breath. Lets put it this way. You go to work or even worse on a plane. Someone coughs or sneezes. Guess what, if it is a viral infection expect to catch that cold. The thing about viral infections is that they need to run their course. There aren’t many medications that can stop a viral infection. They can only lesson the symptoms.
So, now you know about this powerful antibiotic and its uses to prevent colds, flue and bronchitis. There are limits when you consume garlic. You can put a small amount in your food during preparation each day. That is safe to do and will benefit you on a daily basis.
But, do not eat raw garlic on a daily basis. Raw garlic is very strong and can irritate or damage the digestive tract. If you have ever eaten raw garlic you will feel as if your mouth is on fire and you will need to drink lots of water to rid yourself of that feeling. If you over consume garlic you will experience gas, indigestion and heartburn. And, if you are allergic to garlic than you will experience a skin rash, temperature and headaches. Discontinue garlic if you are allergic.
And, the last thing about garlic is that if you are going to have surgery it is best if you discontinue garlic because it may disrupt your anti coagulants. As always, talk to your doctor before introducing anything new to your diet.
