The Seattle Warbirds, the first professional woman’s football team to open up in the Seattle area in 2001, is officially back and ready to kick butt and take names for the 2011 season. After a ten year vacation, there is no telling how much excitement is going to follow such an amazing team.
With their last season in 2001 having gone undefeated for 10 games, they are proud to present their 2011 goal to win the playoffs and go all the way to the top of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA).
Currently, the team is getting ready for tryouts and is looking for fresh new faces to come and join the team. So far they have rookies and veterans fliering every neighborhood of Seattle, visiting every hotspot and covertly covering the social networks, in an open display of enthusiasm and pride. They are dedicated to finding their soon-to-be team mates and making sure that the 2011 season starts off with a bang.
The Seattle Warbirds Official Tryouts will be this saturday october 23rd, 2010 at Newport Senior High School in Bellevue, WA. They’ll be set up and ready to accept tryout fee’s by 12pm, and to get all players out onto the brand new newport high field by 12:30pm. They will be trying out all positions and are eager to invite every women of any experience level, size and background.
