“Skating with the stars” premiered directly at the end of “Dancing With the Stars”, promptly after Jennifer Gray of DWTS scored her second perfect ten of the night. First, the viewers got to see the professional dancers skating together. Then the stars and the professional skaters came out together.
The stars and the professionals all looked great on the ice.
Soon after we saw how they all looked, we got to learn a little bit about how the show would work. First, the skaters would be graded twice by the judges one on their technical performance and once on their artistic performance. Then the viewers would get a chance to vote for their favorite skater, one hour after the show.
What else was expected of the skaters? The skaters would be required to perform certain elements to their skating routines. This week the skaters had to: perform on foot assisted glide and the pair spin.
How did the stars do?
Here are their scores in order of performance:
Brandon Mychal Smith scored a 16 for his technical merit and 20 for artistic impression for a total of 36
Sean Young scored a 16 for technical merit and a 18 for her artistic impression for a total of 34.
Johnny Mosely scored a 21 for technical merit and a 19 for his artistic impression for a total of 40.
Rebecca Budig scored a 21 for technical merit and a 24 for her artistic impression for a total score of 45.
Vince Neil scored a 14 for his technical merit and a 14 for his artistic impression for a total score of 28.
Bethenny Frankel scored a 15 for her technical merit and a 14 for her artistic impression for a total score of 29.
The total for this week’s score will be added to next week’s score and a skater will be eliminated next week. Who will be the first skater eliminated? Who will be the first skater to fall on the ice during competition? Stay tune to “Skating With The Stars” next week and see.
