The fall season is upon us, and that means new clothes! Fall time is a great reason for fashionistas to get excited; we can get the thickest fashion magazines, fashion week, and we look forward to the newest styles of the season. Listed below are some of the top trends I have noticed this season.
The fall season is usually very popular for having many browns, but this season however the browns are a bit nuder. Nudes are very fashionable this season and have been seen in jackets, shoes, dresses and much more. What make nudes so special is because they look good with just about anything and can be very sexy depending on how close the color is to ones skin. H&M’s newest fall collection is filled with nude colors.
The 70’s was a great decade for style so why not live it again? Bellbottoms jeans, fringe, and colorful psychedelic patterns are what make fall this season so special. Fringe vests in particular are very popular this season as well as aqua blue bellbottom jeans. The seventies are definitely making an impact on our fashion this season. Forever 21 have a great selection of this style in their stores now.
Since the downward turn of our economy, our fashion trends slowly shifted from more to less. Now it is trendy to have minimalist fashion trends such as tapered pants and sheath dresses. If you are having a hard time picturing minimalistic fashion think Calvin Klein wit him basic colors and simplistic designs. Minimalism means wearing classic silhouettes that can easily match the rest of anyone’s wardrobe.
It was only a matter of time with the war in Iraq/Afghanistan going on that the military look would hit our fashion
shelves immensely. From the olive green colors to the trench style coats, a great deal of the styles this season has some military influence. Michael Kors fall collection definitely has some military influence.
Since the job rate has gone down, the college enrollment has gone up, thus influencing our fashion to be a bit more collegiate. It is hard to go into a store and not find cute cardigans, heeled saddle shoes, or some sort of varsity jacket. It is all back in style and just in time for school to start. One can also find plaid skirts along with blazers to complete this sophisticated look. Cacharel’s fall collection is a great example of the collegiate look.
