This senior has moved in with the help of her youngest daughter. Actually she does most of the work and I give the orders.;)
Just when I think that one of the rooms is all set – another box is opened and lo and behold, more junk appears. The table again is a mess – and the room looks as it previously did. All that work for nothing! It is a losing battle. But we go on as we did before-taking two steps forward and three steps back.
At the moment, this senior is sitting out on her nice sized patio. Her black cat is sitting on ‘her’ special chair gazing at the birds. This senior – refers to me, and I am enjoying my Stella Doro Breakfast treat, a container of Dannon Natural Coffee Yogurt and a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
I gaze up at the sky and silently say “Thank you” to God and my deceased husband who is always watching over me.
The golfers have already appeared. They line up in a row. One of them decided to walk directly in front of me sitting on my screened in patio. He never even noticed me.
The Hummingbirds have not as yet appeared for their breakfast of the red leaves growing on the Bottle Brush tree on the left of me. My cat is watching for them anxiously.
I wanted to take a picture or two or maybe three of the interior of my luxurious (well in my humble estimation) home. My camera is not working! It is called an “open kitchen’ interior and while this type of living arrangement opens up the entire area and makes it look larger and brighter it also has its faults.
An open kitchen has only a few kitchen cabinets on the wall above the refrigerator and the stove. However, across from this, there is a sink and a large open counter. It looks beautiful but it lacks additional cabinet space.
All in all, this Seniors loves living on a golf course. I feel like the rich and famous must feel except those homes, complete with screened in swimming pools, are on the other side of the golf course. I can see them from my patio.
We still have lots of boxes-all unmarked, that have to be opened. We do not have much time to turn this house into a home. Next week is Thanksgiving and my family all decided to celebrate in my new Villa. This will be my first time in 18 years, that someone will not have to drive me home after the Turkey Dinner. I can stay for the after dinner fun;
Three cheers was said by all.
I am looking forward to putting up a Christmas Tree and hiding presents in my house this year.
So much to look forward to – This senior feels so blessed – now all I have to do is to sell my condo. I just received the yearly bills ;(
I have faith – all good things will happen in due time. In the meantime I am enjoying my new home.
I am also thankful for all my friends on AC, who read and enjoy my writings. Each one of you have become my dearest of friends. You all, in your own way, fill my day by reading your heartwarming poetry, articles, product reviews, comments on sports and television shows, thoughts and feelings, photography, prayers, and more – including news of the day.
Where would I be without all of my friends to reach out to and help with my life’s experiences. We might never meet in person, but here, on AC Content – we are close and everlasting friends! Each of you fill a warm place in my heart. I love you all!
By the way, if I fail to PV some of your articles, be patient please, right now I have to open more boxes and still more boxes…..you know what I mean.:)
