For me breakfast is kind of mindless. Until I have my coffee, it’s not really something I even want to think about. In the past, I used to not really eat anything, and realized how bad that was for me. With better eating habits, I had to find breakfast things that were quick and easy to make early work mornings that filled me up. One of my very favorites has been Thomas’ Honey Wheat English Muffins.
Thomas’, to me, makes the best English muffin. I’ve tried every other brand that is sold locally, and nothing compares. Only Thomas’ have those original nooks and crannies and really tastes like a toasted muffin. Of all of the versions of Thomas’ I’ve tried, the best tasting ones are the Honey Wheat.
Overall I have been eating more wheat products – so much so that many white flour products taste weird to me, and I definitely feel that way about English muffins. The original wheat and the whole wheat muffins I tried were missing something in the taste, and I found the Honey Wheat version the most flavorful.
These Thomas’ Honey Wheat English Muffins come in a pack of 6, in a thin cardboard tray with wrapper. They are round and about 12 ounce in size, weighing in at 130 calories, 0.5 grams of fat, and 2 grams of fiber. I find they often have to be pried apart gently with a fork. The 2 halves then go into my toaster until brown. As soon as they pop up I butter them. I like them with just butter, though I know others using jelly or other spreads. The butter really melts into the nooks and crannies – and makes little pools which makes me happy. They also toast up really crisp, which I especially like since I cannot stand mushy products.
I store my Thomas’ Honey Wheat English Muffins in the refrigerator, though I’m not sure why since they are sold in the bread aisle. I just feel like they stay fresher that way. After I eat all 6 I just throw away the packaging and am ready to purchase some more!
I really love Thomas’ Honey Wheat English Muffins for breakfast! I have them almost daily with some coffee and a piece of string cheese. If you haven’t tried them yet, I strongly recommend them!
