Before you choose a tattoo, remember it is going to be on your body for the rest of your life. It is going to be on your body after you have had children, and it will still be there when you are 70 years old. Sure you are able to have laser removal surgery to get rid of the tattoo. However laser removal is extremely painful and very expensive. It is best to think deeply about what you want before you get a tattoo.
Before you pick the tattoo you want, think about something that really means something to you. Ask yourself if what you have picked out will still mean something to you twenty years from now. If you get a tattoo that is meaningless, trust me you will regret it.
If you are a woman, get a tattoo somewhere that will, “age well”. What I mean by this is, don’t get a tattoo on, or near your abdomen if you plan on having children. When you are pregnant your stomach can roughly get three times bigger then it’s regular size. This causes stretch marks, and stretch marks will not compliment your tattoo.
Think about the spot that your going to put your tattoo. If you get a tattoo that is extremely visible, it may effect your employment opportunities. There are several business’s that will not hire someone that has a visible tattoo, even some restaurants won’t. You really need to think about this, before you get a tattoo on your forearm, upper arm, or neck.
The huge mistake, that a lot of people make is getting a tattoo of the name of their partner. Not only is this known as a “Hollywood curse”, but what if the two of you separate? The thought of that may not be in your head right now, but anything is possible. If the two of you break up do you really want their name still on your body? Yes, there is laser removal, but as i said earlier, it is very costly and painful.
Tattoo’s are very “in style” right now. Don’t just get one to get one. Many people make mistakes, and wish they would have never gotten a tattoo, or they wish they would have gotten something different. Before you get your tattoo you should think about the things that i have listed prior to getting it.
