Sleep, eat, and exercise properly. These are the three simple steps that will allow you to feel more energetic, younger, and better about yourself by getting in shape. If you want to get solid eight pack abs, you must follow these three basic rules.
Firstly, getting enough sleep is the first rule. It is necessary to obtain at least eight hours of sleep every night. This is crucial because when you sleep your body is resting and when you are resting your body repairs itself. In fact, while resting your body produces additional protein molecules and this is what revitalizes and replenishes your body’s cells. If you want to build muscle, you must allow your body to repair itself. This is because when you work out, some of your muscle tissue breaks down and when your body heals; newer and bigger muscle forms.
Secondly, eating properly is essential for obtaining a well defined and solid core. It is best to eat four to five light meals a day rather than three larger meals. This is because after three hours of not eating, you body stops burning fat. When you starve yourself your body isn’t used to the reduced intake of food, therefore it stops burning fat in an attempt to conserve energy. That is why dieting is not always a weight loss solution. Also, you should never eat one to two hours before you go to sleep because your body will not be able to rest efficiently if it is busy digesting food.
The final step is exercise. There is no shortcut or easy way to working out. It requires time, energy, and commitment. It is honest hard work that you must endure in order to get ripped. Remember, “No pain, no gain!” If you want to see results fast, you must work out at least for an hour three times a week. Give yourself a day or two to recuperate between workouts.
My personal workout routine is very simple. First I start off with a one mile run. This is where I get my cardiovascular exercise in. Next, I do two sets of the maximum number of pushups I can do. Then I do two sets of the max number of crunches I can do. That works the upper and middle abdominal muscles. After that I do two sets of the max number of ab-scissors I can do. Ab-scissors are when you lie on your back and you move your legs up and down, while keeping your legs straight and off the floor. This works your lower abdominals which is what will build an eight pack. Remember don’t rush through these exercises because your only cheating yourself. Also, it is of the utmost importance to breathe properly. As you perform the exercises, take slow deep breaths through your nose and let it fill your body. Then exhale through your mouth, blowing all the air out of you so that your muscles tighten.
In summary, getting plenty rest, eating right, and exercising hard are the three no-brainer steps to achieving impressive and rock hard eight pack abs. Each step is no more important than the other. It may sound simple; however it will take much motivation, hard work, and dedication to stay on the path to becoming rock solid. It helps by looking at it as a lifestyle change rather than a list of rules. Once you get in the best shape of your life, your life will drastically improve in so many indescribable ways.
