Tiger Woods’ divorce is final from Elin, nearly nine months after the fiasco Thanksgiving evening, 2009 in which Elin discovered that Tiger was carrying on with another cub (and then more) via his cell phone that he left at home.

Instead of celebrating after a grand round of golf as Tiger has done so many times in his tremendous golf career, he will probably do a little bit of commiserating as he finds himself without the woman who bore him two children and by all accounts was the ideal wife when they were married.
Both Tiger and Elin have made official announcements about their divorce and in a joint statement said, “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future.”
Additionally, the couple reiterated how important their children will continue to be despite the split. “While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
The actual terms of the divorce were not disclosed but rumors earlier this year were rampant stating that Elin stood to come out of this bunker in a nice way, possibly up to half of Tiger’s fortune.
Reports today, however, are not supporting the once quoted $750 million figure, but more than likely Elin will have nothing to worry about. One might say that her “recovery shot” was sweet.
