Watch out ladies! Sexy newcomer Tino Coury is reading your diaries. Well, technically he’s not but would you care? The recently turned 22 year old, Pittsburgh native is singing his way into our hearts and onto the charts. Coury wrote his first song before he was even old enough to take a girl out on a date and he’s been living in the music world ever since. Musically, we might call him a veteran but he’s just a baby when when it comes to the charts recently cracking the top 40’s at #38 on the US Top 40 Chart.
As Eleventh Records first artist, Coury is slowly gaining a strong fan base with his lead single Diary. This song is a catchy summer song about a guy reading his girlfriend’s diary only to discover not only does she not love him anymore but she’s cheating too. Diary is the ultimate betrayal song with revealing lyrics like “Page One: says that you’re fallling in and out of love / Page Two: says all them things I do just ain’t enough…” Coury continues to tell us the content of his betrayer’s diary with the lyrics “Page Four: says you’re addicted to sexing him every night / Page Five: has all the reasons you know that this isn’t right / Page Six: I can’t handle this, I feel just like JT on that Cry Me a River shit.”
Diary also caused a stir on the popular game app Tap Tap Revenge 3 found on the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and landed on the game’s very own soundtrack. Coury’s video for his leading single is also closing in on one million youtube views.
His slow success is catching the music industry’s big names and Coury is performing at other artist’s shows like Jason Derulo, Drake, New Boyz, Kelly Rowland and Backstreet Boys. That’s satisfaction for the uber-humble rising star who might not have decided to pursue a music career if the star athlete hadn’t have had a freak injury in high school that forced him to think of other things. Well, the only other thing that Coury loved as much as sports was music and so he started knocking on music’s front door until it opened.
For Coury, more singles are to come some time this year and his debut album will be released next year. Until then, there are plenty of clips of his live performances and other released songs on youtube including the popular Memory.
“I read your diary / and it said, that you weren’t in love with me / and you’re leavin’.”
Well, Tino has fans that love him and aren’t going anywhere. They are patiently awaiting more songs, videos and the album.
