TNA Bound For Glory was the pay-per-view held tonight at The Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Here are the results and highlights of the show.
Match 1: Tag Team Championship Match: The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. Generation Me (Max and Jeremy Buck): This match ends when Shelley pins Jeremy for the win. Winners and still Tag Team Champions: The Motor City Machine Guns
Christy Hemme interviews Madison Rayne and Tara backstage. Rayne says Tara is indebted to her for life and talks about Mickie James.
Match 2: Knockouts Championship Match: Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne vs. Tara: Mickie James is the special referee for this match. This is a Four Corners match, though Rayne and Tara came out together and Love and Sky came out together. This match ends when Tara rolls up Sky for the three count. After the match, Rayne was angry and shoved down Mickie James. James then hit Rayne with a right to the head and blew a kiss at Tara before heading to the back. Winner and new Knockouts Champion: Tara
Christy Hemme interviews Eric Young backstage. Comedy interview by Young. Very funny part when Young says who cares if Jordan is bi…polar. Jordan came in with a crazy outfit and a lollipop as they head to the ring.
Match 3: Eric Young and Orlando Jordan vs. Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal): Young continued the humor for the match, even refereeing the match to start off. Young did several other comedy bits in this match. Moore pinned Jordan for the win. Winner: Ink Inc.
Match 4: X-Division Championship Match: Jay Lethal vs. Douglas Williams: This match ended when Williams went for a top rope Hurricarana. He connected but Lethal rolled through to score the pin. After the match, Lethal is attacked by Robbie E. Cookie is with Robbie E. Robbie rolls Lethal into the ring and hits a Running Ace Crusher. He then talks about Lethal being a disgrace to Jersey and that he is going to win the title and bring it back to Jersey and bring some class to it. Winner and still X-Division Champ: Jay Lethal
Match 5: Rob Van Dam vs. Abyss: This match is a Monster’s Ball match. A lot of barbed wire used in this match. RVD hits Abyss in the stomach with Janice. The end came when RVD hit the Five Star Frog Splash to get the pin. After the match, Abyss looked in the camera and said “ten ten ten, get ready because here we come.” Winner: Rob Van Dam
Match 6: Sting, Kevin Nash, and D’Angelo Dinero vs. Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett: This match is a three on two handicap match. Joe gets beatdown by all three men and they keep him from getting the tag. Joe finally kicked Nash in the face and went for the tag, but Jarrett jumped off the apron. Nash gets the pin after hitting Joe with the Jackknife Powerbomb. Winners: Sting, Kevin Nash, and D’Angelo Dinero
Christy Hemme interviews Mr. Anderson backstage. He apologizes for having to be the one to end Angle’s career.
Team 3D come to the ring. They say that they have done everything in tag team wrestling so they are officially retired. They say they have one request. They want one more match with the best team in the world today, the TNA Tag Team Champs. If they lose, the champs can write about it at the top of their resumes. If they win, they retire 24 time tag team champions.
Christy Hemme interviews Fortune backstage. Ric Flair talks the most but everyone gets a small bit of mic time.
Match 7: Fortune (AJ Styles, Kazarian, Matt Morgan, Robert Roode, and James Storm) vs. EV 2.0 (Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Rhyno, Sabu, and Stevie Richards): This match is a Lethal Lockdown Match. Flair comes out with Fortune and Mick Foley comes out with EV 2.0. Foley and Flair start fighting before the match begins and have to be separated. Stevie Richards and Kaz start the match. Everyone else comes in one at a time in the following order: AJ Styles, Tommy Dreamer, Robert Roode, Sabu, James Storm, Raven, Matt Morgan, and Rhino. When Rhino comes in, Lethal Lockdown begins. Everyone uses weapons. Flair and Foley fight at ringside. This match is a brawl. Brian Kendrick comes out and attacks Kaz during the match. The end comes when Dreamer connects with a top rope Dreamer Driver on a chair to AJ Styles and gets the pin. Winner: EV2.0
Christy Hemme interviews Kurt Angle backstage. Angle guarantees a win and dedicates it to Hulk Hogan in advance.
Match 8: TNA Championship Match: Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy: This match is a triple threat no disqualification match. After a back and forth match, Eric Bischoff comes to the ring with a chair. He gets in the ring and Hogan’s music hits. Hogan comes out using crutches and argues with Bischoff. Hardy tries to play peacemaker, then grabs a crutch and levels Angle with it. Bischoff hands Hardy the other crutch and Hardy hits Anderson with it. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and then covers Anderson for the pin. Winner and new TNA World Champion: Jeff Hardy
Afterwards, Hardy, Hogan, and Bischoff celebrate with the title. Jeff Jarrett and Abyss come down to join the celebration. Rob Van Dam comes out and asks Hardy what he’s doing. Hardy lays out RVD with the belt. Bound For Glory ends with Hardy, Hogan, Bischoff, Abyss, and Jarrett celebrating in the ring.
