Folsom California has many different ethnic foods available such as Indian, Mexican, Greek, Thai, Italian, Vietnamese, and many more. One of the kinds of ethnic foods that Folsom has a few locations of is Japanese. There are a few different sushi dining options in town. One popular sushi dining option is in the Wal-Mart shopping center. The location is Tokyo Sushi located at 1002 Riley Street, Folsom, California and is one of the best sushi restaurants in town. The big question then is what makes Tokyo Sushi so great that it is better then the other local locations?
Unfortunately Sushi is always pretty expensive. However if you can eat a lot you can make Tokyo Sushi a much better deal. Some local sushi places charge by the piece and this can get very expensive. However Tokyo Sushi is known for their all you can eat deal. For lunch you can get the all you can eat meal for only $15. This might be an expensive lunch at many places but for sushi this is actually a reasonable rate.
At Tokyo Sushi you can sit anywhere but the best place to sit is at the round counter in the middle. Around the large round counter is a small island waterway that carries your food on plastic toy boats. You give the chef your order and they will get to it in the order they received the order. Then they will either put your order on a boat for you to pick up or they will just hand it to you.
This may sound like it might take some time to get your order and it is true that during lunch the place can get crowded and lots of people will have orders in but compared to going to a restaurant and waiting for your order to get sent to your table it is not long at all. If you can arrange it if you can get in towards the end of lunch or even the begging there are fewer people and you can probably get your orders as quickly as they can make them which can be pretty fast.
Besides the sushi you order you can also pick up the other foods that come around on the boats. One popular food that comes around is the chicken kabob. If you see a ship with a kabob on it you can fill free to grab it. There are some other dishes that come along they are mostly vegetables.
In the middle of the island is where the chefs are and you can see them make your food. You can also talk to the chefs as well. This central hub is not unique but not common either and it does add to the dinning experience.
As for the food it is great. You have lots of choices and they will mix and match for you. If you do not want a particular thing on a specific sushi they will take it off. For instance I do not like Avocado so I can have a California roll with no Avocado. You can ask for something on the menu or make a request. They have both the western style sushi like California Rolls as well as the original Japanese style sushi.
Overall Tokyo Sushi is a fun experience. The food is great and at a great price for the kind of food you get. It is a nice place to go with a friend and enjoy some company while you eat.
