These are some of my favorite books to read to my kids. They love them and I end up reading them over and over again to them in one evening. They own hundreds of books, but there are still books they pick out again and again when it’s time to read.
A Color Of His Own

This book is about a chameleon that wants his own color and searches everywhere for a color to match. Until finally he realizes that he can be any color he wants and meets another chameleon to be friends with.
Clifford The Big Red Dog Book Series
By Norman Bridwell
My kids like all the stories he goes on. They really like animals and especially dogs, so they enjoy this one a lot.
Help Me Good Book Series

This is a series of different, very easy to read books about being good. It covers not fighting, being selfish or rude. It covers bad behaviors and why we shouldn’t do them. They like these, since they can read along and there are always good explanations and examples of how to be good and why it is important.
Disney Pooh and Friends Book Series

Of course they like Winnie the Pooh, but they also like the stories that the books tells. Again, these do cover behavior and friendship. They are also easy to understand and comprehend for them.
My First Book Series

These are letter books. They cover all the letters in the alphabet in each book and some words too. They like them still, even now that they can read a little. It is good practice with letters and numbers and they are very easy to understand.
Golden Books Disney Series

My youngest daughter loves her princesses and she loves how the Golden Books cover the movies exactly the same. So, we have read all the standard Disney Princess stories. Such as the Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Alladin , Snow White and Beauty and the Beast. She also likes Cars and The Incredibles .
Dr. Seuss Books

Well it is Dr. Seuss and love reading the stories again and again. They still enjoy the Cat in the Hat, Horus Hears a Who and Green Eggs and Ham best. However, they like the fish story and many of the others too. We usually read the standards, plus other ones together.
Snuggle Up Little One – A Treasury of Bedtime Stories

This is hundreds of bedtime stories. My kids received it as a gift and have loved it ever since. It is not the standard bedtime stories, these are different ones and very fun to read.
Curious George and Friends Favorite Stories

They love Curious George and of course the movies too. So this goes very well together, since they remember characters from the movies and get to meet new ones in the book. This book is a compilation of Curious George Stories and all in one book. The pictures are great and they really enjoy the silly monkey.
Dick and Jane 12 Book Reading Set

This is a 12 book series that comes in a box set. It is the basic and original Dick and Jane books. These are still really great books to teach kids to read. The pictures are silly, but simple and kids understand them. My kids like them because they can read the words and understand what is happening.
