Well, a quick search will show you that there are many games of this caliber that exist already so how can you choose the one that is best for you? 360 games can be expensive so research before you buy and check out why these three football video games for the Xbox 360 top my list:
1. Madden NFL 11 by Electronic Arts – Xbox 360
ESRB Rating: Everyone
Available on Amazon for $54.99 new and with many used versions available- Madden NFL is the king of football games. Madden NFL 11 has even more than any of the predecessors in the series so it’s well worth the investment to get the latest version.
In Madden NFL 11 you get a redefined outline and revamped audio presentation both from the booth and on the field. This is something you will notice right away in game if you played Madden NFL 10 or earlier. Dual Stick Control gives you a reduction in button dependency for the ball carrier and allows you to map key moves to the right and left sticks for faster and more accurate plays and control.
In this 22nd version of an EA Sports’ classic, Madden NFL 11 brings you new coaching tips that automatically pause the game and explain the situation when it is needed the most. This is especially helpful if you are new to the Madden series or are new to playing them on the Xbox 360.
This game tops the list due to its different modes as well such as Franchise mode, the all-new GameFlow playcall system, dual stick controls and the extensive functionality online to play with others, share stats and more, you can get a great deal of experience and fun from this game. With this version, they made the game simpler but more in-depth at the same time.
2. NCAA Football 11 by Electronic Arts – Xbox 360
ESRB Rating: Everyone
Available on Amazon for $56.54 brand new and many used versions available
Next to the Madden series, this is the best football game you can get for the Xbox 360. NCAA Football is also from Electronic Arts and brings you some of the most exciting college football experiences you will find on a video game. You will find unique game play and traditions for each of the 120 schools as well as a natural blend of offensive styles, coaching style and philosophies, areas of talent, stadiums and more. You will experience the rivalry of college football like never before- unless of course, you played in college.
In this new version of the NCAA Football franchise, you will find new running mechanics, real assignment AI, the All-New ESPN Broadcast Package Integration, an All-New Locomotion System and so much more to keep you in the game from start to finish.
3. Blitz: The League II by Midway Entertainment – Xbox 360
ESRB Rating: Mature
You can buy it new for around $14.00 with used versions available as well
This football game has a more mature twist to it, unlike the Electronic Arts’ games that we have all grown to love. While it’s for mature audiences only, it has some great features and benefits.
Some key features of this game are Precision-Aim Tackles that let you inflict serious pain on certain areas of your opponent’s body, realistic injuries that make vicious tackles and gruesome injuries and thing of enjoyment, Enhanced Clash Mode & Touchdown Celebrations and a fun campaign mode that lets you have complete control of the darker side of pro sports.
Like other sports games for the Xbox 360, it has Online Competition & Downloadable Content (also for mature gamers).
