Before any consumer buys a product they are going to dish out some good money on, it is always a good idea for them to find out what is the best in the industry. The same goes for snowboarding. TransWorld Snowboarding Magazine published a list of the best snowboards for men and women for the year 2010 and also broke those lists down into specific price range categories. For the purpose of this article, I am going to use the top five boards for women under $399 and give details on where to buy these great boards.
Burton The Social
Burton The Social ranked in as number one among the top snowboards for women under $399. It is priced at $350 and can be bought at the Burton website, among other places. The cheapest price I found for this snowboard was on Dogfunk.com and Backcountry.com which both had it listed at $209.97. This snowboard features V-Rocker and Cruise Control which help the rider land the best tricks and keep control of the board along the way.
Space Metal Fantasy FK
This snowboard made by Capitas Snowboarding is an excellent buy for any snowboarder. The Space Metal Fantasy FK features flat kick technology. It provides a very fun ride and is excellent to learn new tricks on. This snowboard unfortunately cannot be purchased on their website, but they do provide links to other stores where it can be purchased in person or through the web here. The board is available on Amazon.com for $359.00.
The DC BFT
The DC BFT is an excellent snowboard for the price. This snowoard originally retailed for $359, but now can be found on some websites, such as PortersTahoe.com for only $215.40. This board is a lot of fun to break in, but can lose some of its stability after using it a while for some really aggressive maneuvers.
Endeavor Boyfriend Series
The Endeavor Boyfriend Series is really one of my favorites in this category. This board is well-balanced which creates for a lot of stability in any trick. I love the design of this board. It retails at $375.00.
The Gnu B-Nice BTX
This snowboard is a great ride for women in the ranges of beginner to advanced. It features banana and Magne-Traction technology to help land jumps and smooth out the ride. This board is available for a low price of $319.96 on SportChalet.com.
All of these boards are highly recommended among professionals who really know the sport. The best thing about these women’s snowboards is that they are all under $399, so if you are a beginner you don’t have to dish out big bucks to start out your training.
