Instead of having a muffin like that, try to stick to smaller muffins and bake them yourself with your own ingredients. That will cut all the unhealthy fats, sugars, and calories in half.
2. Processed soy products
While soy products are known to be healthy, processed ones tend not to be. Processed soy foods like soy milk, soy meats, soy ice cream, and soy energy bars have actually been linked to malnutrition, digestive problems, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline , heart disease, and cancer. Most fast food restaurants such as Mcdonald’s have salads as a healthier alternative than a cheeseburger and fries. But not all salads are healthy. 4. Energy drinks
Although the labels on energy drinks say that they contain many types of herbs, minerals, and Taurine, ,cost of the ingredients in these are actually nothing but caffeine and sugar. It is nothing but a huge waste of money. Along with being a waste of your money, the caffeine levels in most of them are so high that they are actually dangerous to children because children have a low tolerance of caffeine in their bodies. Instead of turning to an energy drink for energy or working out, switch to water or tea instead. Your body will thank you.
5. Protein Energy Bars
An energy bar is basically a candy bar,considering the high amount of sugars, fat, and added flavor. Then the protein is just thrown in there to make it ‘healthy’ for you. Some energy bars do have vitamins and minerals, but you’re better off getting the cheaper foods that give you the same nutrients than these expensive bars. If you’re needing energy, buy energy foods such as nuts and dried fruit instead of these unhealthy energy bars.
