Cobble Hill Blog caught our attention with an announcement the other day that Rolling Orange Bike Shop in Cobble Hill is teaming up with the East Village restaurant inspired by northern European Cuisine, Vandaag, to host a cycling-eating event.
The event is called Tour and Taste, starting on bikes at Rolling Orange in Cobble Hill and ending with mouths stuffed full of amazing eats at Vandaag in the Village.
And there will be testing for “performance enhancing” substances, so don’t think you can get all hopped up to get to the food first. You have to earn that fair and square.
But here, as in life, the journey is so much more than just arriving at the destination: you’ll ride through some beautiful neighborhoods, across the Brooklyn Bridge, have a pit-stop at the Union Square Green Market where Vandaag’s chef will “provide a tasting tour,” and only then head over to Vandaag for a three course lunch.
All of this for a mere $45.
Check out the flyer CHB posted here, and RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rolling Orange is located at 269 Baltic Street.
