The Transportation Security Administration has been all over the news with stories of security guards shoving their hands down the pants of a menstruating woman, breaking the seal of a urostomy bag of a man, and worse of all sexually molesting people including multiple small children. When will public outcry change this horrifying inhumane practice of the TSA?
Recently while flying from Seattle to Florida airline security pulled my twelve-year old daughter out of line for an additional check. The female Transportation Security Administration officer starting describing the scanner to my daughter and I expressed concerns about her getting an unnecessary dose of radiation. I was told by the Transportation Security Administration guard that she could opt out and be subjected to a pat down. As a parent I do not want to have my child sexually molested so was forced to choose between the only two options. I was forced to let the Transportation Security Administration sexually violate my child by looking at her naked body.
I am appalled as a parent that if I were to take a picture of my child nude in the bath I could be arrested, treated like perverted scum, and have my child taken away. The Transportation Security Administration can hire people I don’t know and whose references I can’t check to ogle and feel up my daughters body and that is legal. There is no way to know for sure if the people being hired for work with the Transportation Security Administration are not into little kids.
As parents it is our job to protect our kids and help them to grow into well rounded adults. If we allow our children to be sexually fondled and groped by Transportation Security Administration officers at such a young age we are sending the wrong message during this crucial developmental time. Little girls will think nothing of it when their first boyfriend or pervert down the street tries to get down their pants. They will be so used to Transportation Security Administration guards groping their vagina’s that they can become prey to sexual predators. Little boys will be so used to adult Transportation Security Administration male guards feeling up their junk that they can fall victim to adults they are supposed to trust. I would never in a million years touch my twelve-year old child the way these Transportation Security Administration officers so eagerly do. I would be put in jail and rightful I might add because it is disgusting behavior.
President Obama is failing the most vulnerable of his citizens by allowing them to be sexually molested by the Transportation Security Administration workers. I don’t care how you try to sugar coat it touching a young child in their privates is sexual assault. I ask Obama if he walked down the street and saw an adult with their hands down a child’s pants what his reaction would be. I would have to say any normal adult with half a brain would come to the defense of that child and try to stop the sexually abuse that is occurring. Why on earth is it acceptable in an airport by Transportation Security Administration officers? The plane can fall out of the sky due to mechanical malfunctions. Wake up America, you risk death anytime you walk out your door. We are all going to die but it is more important that we live and live well. Cowering in the dirt and allowing the folks at the Transportation Security Administration to sexually molest our children should not be an option. I bet the terrorists are laughing their butts off at our stupidity.
The back scatter machine has radiation in low volumes. Is it really smart to subject ourselves to that every time we travel? How would you feel as a parent if your child develops cancer ten years down the road from all the well meaning vacations you took with them? We simply do not know the long term effects. Heck, doctors used to think putting leeches on people that were bleeding to death was a good idea. I am pretty sure one-hundred years from now these Transportation Security Administration “procedures” are going to baffle people on earth.
I also firmly believe that there is always the possibility that ten years down the road we could see pictures of our naked children on the internet compliments of Transportation Security Administration workers. Having a naked picture of yourself on the internet can ruin job prospects among other things. There is a program that blurs the image but who is to say there won’t be one that corrects and enhances the image down the road or even now?
The Transportation Security Administrations entire security system fails on so many levels. President Obama really needs to extract his head from the dirt, stand up and protect our most delicate citizens. Asking these hard headed Transportation Security Administration head honchos is not enough, demands need to be made to protect the innocence of our children. I would love to see Obama allow his daughters to be felt up in their private bits by a Transportation Security Administration guard as thoroughly as the rest of the children in this country then maybe he can understand this parents pain.
