Nature is a lovely way to get inspired for just about anything. But, for some, when naming your child, uniqueness is just as important as being inspirational. Therefore, looking to the trees is a great way to find a beautiful name for your baby. Many tree names are not ideal for babies…in my opinion. I mean, I have no interest in naming my child Mulberry, Yellowwood, or Sourgum. However, I think Willow or Laurel are wonderful choices. Also, taking a new twist on a tree name is a great choice. For instance, a beautiful baby girl name could be Scarlet Oak, shortened to just Scarlet. Or, you could then use Oak as the middle name. An interesting boys name could be taken from a Zumi Crabtree. I suggest using just the Zumi and leaving out the crabtree.

None of these baby names are too common, and all of them are beautiful. Naming your child after a tree is a way to connect them to nature and instill a love for the outdoors. It would also be fun to name each of your children after a tree, giving them a common theme. Many parents choose all J’s for their children. Why don’t you choose all Trees for yours…
