Got a hankering for blood that only zombie meat will satisfy? Head over to the Ferndale Public Library each Monday evening for Undead Monday Movie Night at 7:30 every Monday through November 29, 2010. Admission and popcorn are free. Enjoy the best of B-rated zombie entertainment with such ghoulish classics as:
September 27: The Fearless Vampire Killers or Pardon Me But Your Teeth are Stuck in My Neck (Roman Polanski-1967). In an horrific twist of fate, this blood and guts thriller stars Polanski’s wife Sharon Tate who was murdered by the Charles Manson ‘family’ in 1969.
October 4: White Zombie (Bela Lugosi, 1932) Vintage Hollywood low-budget movie horror. Filled with voodoo, legend, curses and not-quite-dead creatures, you won’t want to miss one ‘bite’ of this one.
October 11: Innocent Blood (John Landis, 1992) It seems all good directors have to make an obligatory blood and gore movie and teen cult classic director John Landis is no exception. This one is rated R.
October 18: Zombie (Lucio Fulcio, 1979) Plagues, death and zombies that refuse to remain six feet under. Plenty of monster mayhem.
But we don’t want to give away all the grisly details. Click here for the Ferndale Public Library Undead Monday Movies and calendar page. And you thought the library was just for the living? Just when you thought it was safe to go out at night…Undead Monday Movies.
