I just received this information from a Harry Potter fan group in Ohio. It sounds like great fun!
September 25th is Harry Potter Day at Chateau Laroche, otherwise known as Loveland Castle. This a family-friendly event that will run from 11am to 5pm and costs only $6. Please be aware that the castle only accepts cash. What can you expect to see? Many of your favorite characters will be in attendance, and there will be live performances of Harry Potter-inspired music also known as Wizard Rock. Dumbledore will teach you the science behind wizard magic and Snape will teach a Potions class. You can tour a real stone castle, and you can even enter into a drawing to win your very own magic wand! Come in wizarding attire or Muggle clothes. Check out the Castle’s website for more information.
There is also a Harry Potter Halloween Party. This is the seventh year so the theme for this year’s HPHP is “7 Potters!” So come as Harry, or as someone coming as Harry. Up-to-date details can be found on the forums.
The formal Crystal Yule Ball is also coming up on January 22, 2011 at Landoll’s Mohican Castle. For more information about the castle, please visit their website. Please check out the Hp Ohio forums for more information.
Thank you Mandala for this information.
This sounds like several great events. Anyone up for going?
