Lemon juice is great for stretch marks and scars. Lemon juice is naturally acidic, and it’s the acids that help break down and smooth out scarring from stretch marks, injury, acne, and other scars, and also is a natural bleach to help fade out the ugly purple, red, and deep colors of scars in general.
Apply lemon juice directly to a scar or stretch marks and rub it in a circular motion to absorb more fully and allow the lemon juice to penetrate deeply into the affected areas. I rubbed lemon juice for a little over a week on a scar on my butt that was raised and purple (I got the scar from sitting on a piece of glass a few years ago- ouch!) and the scar is now barely noticeable and is a white color. It is no longer raised and can hardly be seen at all. I used lemon juice twice daily, and got better results than using Mederma for over a month. I was amazed.
A friend of mine tried the lemon juice method on her stretch marks on her arms. Within a few weeks her deep red stretch marks had lightened and were less puckered, and she was happy with her results as well. Her stretch marks lightened up within a few days, and the acids in the lemon juice helped break down her scars, so when I rubbed my hand over her arms, I could hardly feel the stretch mark indentations at all!
You can apply lemon juice to your scarring in a few ways- directly, like I did, or you can mix the lemon juice in with your daily moisturizer and rub it into your skin that way, like my friend did. Within a few weeks, you should notice a great difference in the clarity and appearance of your skin, all from a little kitchen product. Lemon juice really does work wonders!
