Val Kilmer is a complicated guy. Some people seem to think that some of his movies are really struggling and this is why he is having to sell his New Mexico ranch. A New Mexico ranch is one of the latest properties that the Hollywood elite even have to sell in order to make sure that they can maintain their lifestyles. The last movie that many people may remember seeing Val Kilmer in would be the film Macgruber. I personally am not a fan of the Saturday Night Live sketch simply because there simply isn’t any kind of variety in the sketch even through the show MacGyver did not have particularly deep plots either.
The Knight Rider movies and the voice of KITT is something that created a fair amount of following amongst science fiction fans and people who seem to trust David Hasselhoff when they happen to search for entertainment value. Some people may not even recognize Val Kilmer as the voice of KITT in the Knight Rider movies so you were not able to create some extra buzz for the movie amongst Val Kilmer fans out there.
It would be interesting to see Val Kilmer do some films in the state of New Mexico if he happens to want to create some new tourism dollars for a state he really cares about. It could be that Kilmer is simply tired of the ranch way of life and he simply wants to go in another direction in life. A lot of people would probably prefer that he stay in New Mexico because of the positive press that the state can get from the process.
Val Kilmer is going to be in a new Francis Ford Coppola movie apparently and that should be a fairly big hit at the box office and with the critics. Francis Ford Coppola has earned some of that positive publicity over the years and people do need to still expect a high quality firm from him when possible. “Twixt Now and Sunrise” is the name of the new film and a lot of people are thinking that we need to see more films from a guy like Francis Ford Coppola, but he is only going to work when he wants to. It’s hard to say that Kilmer doesn’t need the film to be more of a success when you compare his needs to Francis Ford Coppola’s needs. Francis Ford Coppola made a lot of money with films like “The Rainmaker.” Coppola knows that those John Grisham films can be a big draw.
