Sarah was already dressed in her Viridian Ranger outfit. She also wore the red scarf her sister had purchased for her. The girl stretched her hands high over her head and then stretched out her back.
“Heading out?” Tara asked, stepping out onto the porch.
“Yeah.” Sarah said, nodding. “I’m going to start doing patrols over the city. These robot attacks are making me nervous.” The girl admitted.
“You’re a great super hero.” Tara said.
“Thanks.” Sarah said, blushing. The girl then saluted Tara and began rising high into the air. “I heard Brittany’s coming over today.” The girl said.
“Yeah.” Tara said, nodding. “It’s funny how we became friends, huh?”
“I’m glad you did. You’re a great person sis.” Sarah said, turning towards the sky. “See you later! Tell Brittany I said hi!” And with that the girl shot into the air and flew into a cloud. When the girl emerged on the other side she turned towards the city and began flying towards it as fast as she could. Every time Sarah went into and left the city as a Viridian Ranger she always flew a different way just in case someone unfriendly started paying closer attention to the skies.
The moment Sarah flew over the city people began waving happily to her. Sarah smiled to the people as she flew overhead.
The girl didn’t see any giant robots or people breaking the law. As the girl flew she began going lower and lower. When the girl spotted a soda machine she landed in front of it. “Let me see…” Sarah muttered, reaching into her glove and removing a single dollar bill. The girl placed the dollar into the machine and purchased a soda.
“You drink soda?” Someone asked.
Sarah turned on her heels and spotted a small group of people had walked up to her. “That’s right.” Sarah said. “I love it.” The girl took off the cap and tipped the soda to her lips. “Maybe I’ll get a sponsor from the soda company.” The girl said. The group of people laughed.
Sarah was about to take another drink when she heard a loud roar overhead. Glancing up the girl saw a large robot flying overhead. This robot looked exactly like the very first robot Sarah fought.
Sarah tossed her soda into the garbage and then flew after the robot. Sarah started throwing several blue orbs at the machine. The orbs struck the robot denting it severely. The robot turned and fired its lasers at Sarah, but the girl activated her shield, blocking the attack. When the robot’s lasers vanished Sarah aimed her palms at the robot and then fired her own laser beam.
The beam struck the side of the robot. With a loud boom the robot exploded with a bright flash of light. When the light faded nothing of it remained.
“They’re not even trying anymore…” Sarah muttered. The girl heard cheering far below. Turning in midair the girl waved her hands happily over her head. “Thank you! Thank you!” Sarah cried.
“The robots been destroyed.” Carol said, turning around and looking at her captain.
“Good. Everyone follow her with the spy robots.” Kelly ordered. The other space pirates did as they were told and began navigating their robots towards Viridian Ranger. The robots they were piloting were small and didn’t make any sounds.
“Were in place.” Said one of the space pirates.
“Excellent. Keep following her.” Kelly ordered.
Carol turned back to her monitor. She wondered how this was going to end.
Sarah finished her patrol of the city and then headed back to the farm. When the girl reached her home she landed in front of the porch. “I’m home!” The girl announced, reaching for her helmet.
“Hey sis!” Tara said, heading outside. Brittany followed after the girl.
“Hey Sarah.” Brittany said.
Sarah was about to pull off her helmet when several small lasers struck Sarah’s sides. Sarah squealed with ticklish laughter and collapsed onto the ground. The girl grabbed her sides as several small robots surrounded her and began firing their lasers at the girl. For some reason the lasers tickled the girl instead of burning her body.
“SIS!” Tara cried. The girl ran to her sister, but a larger robot appeared overhead. The robot had several long tentacles and an oval shaped body. The tentacles slammed into the ground directly in front of Tara knocking the girl backwards.
Brittany rushed over to Tara and threw her arms around the girl. “Are you ok!?” The girl cried.
“SIS!” Tara cried, the girl was more concerned with her sisters safety then her own.
The smaller robots continued to fly over Sarah firing their lasers at the girl.
Sarah rolled onto her stomach and then onto her back. She kicked her feet wildly and tried to protect her body using her arms, but the lasers still managed to find her ticklish spots.
Sarah activated her shield, but somehow the laser passed through it instead of blocking the beams. “HEY! KNOCK IT OFF!” Sarah cried.
One of the tentacles from the large ship wrapped around Sarah’s waist and pulled her into the air. The girl tried to struggle against the tentacle, but the smaller robots continued to fire their tickle beams at her.
Tara watched helpless as her sister and the robots vanished into the sky.
Sarah tried to escape the tentacle, but the tickle beams the smaller robots were firing at her occupied all her thoughts. The robots continued to rise until a large ship appeared overhead. The ship looked rather messy. Like it had been patched together. The girl had never seen a space ship like it, but something told her the parts that made it up belonged to different types of ships.
The giant robot entered the ship and tossed Sarah into a single room. The door to the room closed just as Sarah got to her feet. The girl ran to the door and began pounding her fists against it. The door dented just a little bit, but not enough to escape.
“Do you mind not doing that?” Came a strange voice.
“Who’s there!?” Sarah demanded.
“My name is Kelly, but that’s captain Kelly to you. That weapon you have belongs to me. I need you to give it back.”
“You’re not getting it!” Sarah said, angrily.
“If you don’t give it to me I’ll have to take it from you.” Kelly said.
“Just try it!” Sarah snapped.
“Very well.” Kelly said.
At first nothing seemed to happen, but then white smoke began pouring into the room. Kelly covered her mouth with her hands, but the smoke still managed to find her nostrils. The room began to spin and soon the girl collapsed onto the ground. The girl took several deep breaths. All she wanted to do was get up, but her arms and legs wouldn’t listen to her. “Tara…” Sarah muttered, in a low voice. “I’m sorry…” And with those last words the girl was plunged into darkness.
