I have had the opportunity to ride the Sea Screamer boat in Clearwater, Florida dozens of times in the last 5 years. It’s the largest speed boat in the world, measuring 72′ long. At speeds of up to 35 mph, this thrill ride will put a smile on your face, and delight you as it throws up huge wakes zipping along the waters of the Gulf Coast. It has an open top, so be prepared to get wet in certain seats, and everyone will get a lot of sun. My family and I always have a blast when we take this tour. We find it exhilarating and refreshing. This family attraction is fun and safe for guests of all ages.
As you begin your ride, your skipper will point out the luxury hotels and beaches that line the way. He will point out historical landmarks. You will also be shown Hulk Hogan’s prior home, as well as the past homes of Tom Cruise and Lisa Marie Presley that line the intercoastal. These mansions are quite impressive, and picture taking is welcome and encouraged.
Once you reach the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico, be prepared to ride the waves, as you reach those top speeds. Your captain will look out for dolphins while you are cruising, and guests are welcome to do the same. Once a pod is spotted, your captain will slow the boat down, so guests are able to view these amazing creatures in their natural habitat, and take pictures. Oftentimes, they will leap and jump out of the water. This is an impressive sight every time, and I never get bored of seeing them. Your captain will then engage the dolphins in play by making huge circles around them. This builds up the wake, so they will follow the boat right along side you, jumping and twirling. This tour is a great way to get an up close and personal encounter with the dolphins. I have also seen mothers with their babies at certain times throughout the year. It’s a sight that can’t be beat if you are a dolphin lover like I am.
The Sea Screamer is open all year long, providing guests with 3 tours daily. They begin at noon, and run at 2 pm and 4pm as well. Each cruise is an hour long. There are 2 bathrooms on board, and snacks and beverages are available for a small fee. The price for adults is $22. Children 12 and under are $17. Children under the age of 4 are free. But, they are only free if there is an adult per child.
If dolphins are not seen, your next tour is FREE! Bring proof that it’s your birthday, and get a free cruise as well.
The sea Screamer also offers seasonal, sunset cruises, holiday, and special event cruises. These inquiries and all inquiries can be made by calling Eric at (727)447-7200. Or, email www.thrillrides.com.

I guarantee this is a lot of fun for the entire family. I have taken many dolphin/boat tours, and this one is by far the best.
