When you add articles to your site in Vivvo CMS, you will need at least one category to place those articles in. When you install Vivvo CMS, you will already have two categories you can use, but you can also create your own. In this guide, I will walk you through the steps of creating new categories in Vivvo CMS.
You can begin by logging in as the administrator. Once you are in the admin panel, look for the Category button at the top of the page and click it. The category page will then load and this is where you will create new categories.
On this page, you will need to fill in the fields to create the new category. In the first field, you will need to enter the name of the category. In the second field, you will need to enter the URL for the category you are creating. The last field is where you select where you want the category to be placed.
For example, if you want the category to be a main category, you would select the Root option. If you want the category to be a sub-category, you would open the box and select the category you want the sub-category to be placed under.
When you have filled in the fields for the new category, you can create it. At the bottom of the category box, click the Add button. The page will refresh and you will see a message saying the category was added.
To add another category, you can click the Add New Category button on the category page. The fields will reload and be blank. Then you can fill in the fields to create another category. Create as many categories as you need for your site in Vivvo CMS.
