Choosing a place to get married can be difficult and time consuming. Traditionally couples would get married in the church of their preference or in a court house with a judge. In the present, couples have so many more options and can really set their own themes and ideas for how they would like their non-traditional wedding to take place. However, finding a non-denominational ceremony location can be daunting. There are some wonderful locations in Oshkosh to hold a wedding ceremony which will fit every person and every budget.
Paine Art and Garden Center is by far the Oshkosh favorite for wedding ceremonies. This mansion is beautiful and historical with lush gardens surrounding the estate. However, this location is high priced with limited seating and strict time requirements.
The Waters is an up and coming wedding ceremony location. Since their renovation in 2008, they have quickly developed a reputation of excellence. This exquisite location overlooks the majestic Lake Winnebago and is perfect for setting a unique backdrop for your wedding ceremony.
Menominee Park is another Oshkosh favorite when it comes to weddings overlooking Lake Winnebago. Pavilion or gazebo rentals are inexpensive and create a stunning casual atmosphere. However, this is a public location so events may end up with uninvited onlookers.
Leach Amphitheater located on the banks of the Fox River is another unique idea for a wedding location. This ceremony site provides an interesting alternative to traditional weddings. It also can accommodate more than double what the average ceremony site can accommodate. Sunset pictures on the banks of the river are more than memorable for the occasion.
Fergus Chapel is an old time chapel that offers a classic look at weddings. Located on the EAA grounds it is reminiscent of historical Early American churches. This location is high priced with limited seating, but can be rented for an entire day so that wedding parties can take pictures or set-up at their leisure.
The Gathering Space is a great option for those who would like old time elegance without an extravagant price tag. Although not technically in Oshkosh, it is a wonderful alternative for intimate to moderately sized weddings.
