Week 11 – TE Rankings
1. Jacob Tamme – Ind = @NE
In terms of overall consistency in putting up stats, Tamme is the best fantasy football TE option right now. With a matchup against the Patriots in store for this week, it would not be surprising to see a rather high scoring game, as the Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady air show could be in full force. Tamme could easily be looking at numbers in the range of 5-10 receptions, 75-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
2. Vernon Davis – SF = TB
With the ankle injury looking like it is behind him after last weeks game of 4 receptions for 79 receiving yards, Davis has seemingly built a decent connection with Troy Smith at QB. A matchup at home against an average Tampa Bay defense this week, could have Davis pushing stats in the range of 4-8 receptions for 50-100 receiving yards, and a touchdown is definitely within reach as well.
3. Antonio Gates – SD = Den
If Gates has recovered enough to play in this game, he could have no problem piecing together a solid stat line against a bad Denver defense this week. Unfortunately for fantasy football teams, the Chargers play the Monday night game, so fantasy football teams will likely not have a replacement option to use if Gates would happen to be inactive. All in all, it depends what your fantasy team can risk when deciding to start Gates this week or not.
4. Dustin Keller – NYJ = Hou
The disappearing act over the last couple of weeks is concerning and annoying for fantasy football teams, but with a matchup at home against a terrible Texans pass defense in store for this week, Keller offers just too much potential for a big game for fantasy football teams not to give him a chance in their starting lineup this week. Stats in the range of 50-100 receiving yards is definitely possible, and a touchdown is easily within reach as well.
5. Jason Witten – Dal = Det
After an extremely disappointing game last week against a tough Giants defense that resulted in just 1 reception for 7 yards, Witten should enjoy a matchup at home against the Detroit Lions much better this week. With less need to stay in to block in this matchup, Witten should run plenty of passing routes and it is very likely that he will catch his fair share. 4-8 receptions for 50-100 receiving yards is within reach, and a touchdown is very possible.
6. Marcedes Lewis – Jac = Cle
Offering consist stats with a nose for the end zone, Lewis has a solid matchup this week to once again hit pay dirt. Expecting stats in the range of 50-75 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is reasonable.
7. Brandon Pettigrew – Det = @Dal / SLEEPER – SPOT STARTER
One of Shaun Hill’s favorite targets, Pettigrew’s fantasy football value should continue to rise as the season continues down the home stretch. A matchup against a vulnerable Dallas pass defense this week could net Pettigrew numbers in the range of 4-8 receptions for 50-100 receiving yards, and a touchdown is possible as well.
8. Tony Gonzalez – Atl = @StL
Consistently putting up between 25-75 receiving yards, but those great stats games just don’t seem to be within reach for Gonzalez right now.
9. Aaron Hernandez – NE = Ind
While Hernandez may be the yardage guy at TE for the Patriots, fellow rookie TE Rob Gronkowski has clearly closed the gap between them and is biting into Hernandez’s fantasy football value going forward. Still the matchup is too good to not give Hernandez a chance in most fantasy football starting lineups this week.
10. Visanthe Shiancoe – Min = GB
With Brett Favre once again playing the Packers, it is reasonable to expect him to look for Shiancoe a lot in this game, especially in the red zone.
11. Jermaine Gresham – Cin = Buf / SLEEPER – SPOT STARTER
12. Kellen Winslow – TB = @SF
13. Chris Cooley – Was = @Ten
14. Todd Heap – Bal = @Car
15. Ben Watson – Cle = @Jac / SLEEPER – SPOT STARTER
16. Rob Gronkowski – NE = Ind / SLEEPER – SPOT STARTER

19. Brent Celek – Phi = NYG
20. Tony Moeaki – KC = Ari
21. John Carlson – Sea = @NO
