Week seven of NFL picks and predictions are now upon us, and it comes hot on the heels of a red hot picking week for yours truly. Assuming that the Colts handle their business on Sunday night and it looks as though they are, I will be 10-3 heading into the Monday night game. That has to put me in position to move up the charts in our Associated Content sports writers pool, and maybe even get me back in my readers good graces after that horrible week back in week five. Being able to recover is a good thing, right?
Week seven NFL picks are going to be just as hot as week six, so jump on board to win your office pool! Here are my week seven picks and predictions, and I hope that you will subscribe to these red hot picks so that you get them every single week. (simply hit follow up above where you see my name) Enough with the logistics!
Here are your week seven NFL picks and predictions!
SUN, OCT 24
Week Seven NFL Picks – Cincinnati at Atlanta1:00 PM Georgia Dome
After starting the NFL season in a fairly consistent manner, the Falcons then turned around and laid a big old rotten egg in Philly last week. The Eagles looked really good, and the Falcons looked much worse than they really are. I expect them to rebound at home against the Bengals, but it will not be easy. Look for Matt Ryan to play lights out, and bring home the win for the Falcons.
Winner – Atlanta Falcons
Week Seven NFL Picks – Washington at Chicago1:00 PM Soldier Field
The Redskins have put up one heck of a fight against the Colts in Week six, but they are simply not capable it seems of stopping the pass or the run with any type of consistency. This is the primary reason that they will fade in the NFC East. They are now heading to Chicago who is also smarting after getting whipped by the Seahawks. The Bears will pull this one out due to a superior defense, and a solid passing attack.
Winner – Chicago Bears
Week Seven NFL Picks – St. Louis at Tampa Bay1:00 PM Raymond James Stadium
The Rams are for real. I have come to this conclusion after watching them dismantle the San Diego Chargers in week six. The Bucs are for real too, however. Given the even playing field as far as talent, I give the nod to the Bucs because they are at home.
Winner – Tampa Bay Bucs
Week Seven NFL Picks – San Francisco at Carolina1:00 PM Bank of America Stadium
Carolina has had a nice little break and should be ready to fight for their first win of the season. The Niners have just gotten their first win in week six against Oakland. I expect this to be a battle of turnovers, and the Panthers are going to play very conservative. I expect that Jimmy Clausen will finally have a break out game over in Carolina, if only for one week.
Winner – Carolina Panthers
Week Seven NFL Picks – Buffalo at Baltimore1:00 PM M&T Bank Stadium
The Buffalo Bills are in trouble this week. No real comments or reasons needed here.
Winner – Baltimore Ravens
Week Seven NFL Picks – Philadelphia at Tennessee1:00 PM LP Field
The Titans are a team that can be great one week and terrible the next. The Eagles fit the same description. Given the incredible game that Philadelphia played in week six, I would guess they will be quite fired up. Look for the Eagles to pull out a tough road win.
Winner – Philadelphia Eagles
Week Seven NFL Picks – Jacksonville at Kansas City1:00 PM Arrowhead Stadium
Jacksonville is about to find out why Kansas City is so tough at home. Defense and lots of it.
Winner – Kansas City Chiefs
Week Seven NFL Picks – Pittsburgh at Miami1:00 PM Sun Life Stadium
This is a game that will truly test whether Big Ben is truly back in form. My guess is that he will respond well, but I am not totally convinced that the Dolphins will lose at home. I am going to go out on a limb and call the Dolphins winners at home.
Winner – Miami Dolphins
Week Seven NFL Picks – Cleveland at New Orleans1:00 PM Superdome
New Orleans will blow them out. Nuff said.
Winner – New Orleans Saints
Week Seven NFL Picks – Arizona at Seattle4:05 PM Qwest Field
Arizona is also quite rested after the bye week and they will be ready for the Seahawks on the road. The problem is, the Hawks are notoriously tough to beat at home. Expect the trend to hold true for the Seahawks as they rise in the NFC West.
Winner – Seattle Seahawks
Week Seven NFL Picks – New England at San Diego4:15 PM Qualcomm Stadium
The Patriots pulled out an overtime nail biter against the Ravens, but they are now going to face a dangerous team on the road. The Chargers are playing for their lives as they have had a horrible season so far. The Chargers are going to get better, but will it be too little too late? I think that they will have enough in the tank to handle business at home, Brady or not.
Winner – San Diego Chargers
Week Seven NFL Picks – Oakland at Denver4:15 PM Invesco Field at Mile High
The Raiders have been playing decent football and should give the Broncos a game. I expect that home field advantage will be too much for the Raiders in the end, however.
Winner – Denver Broncos
Week Seven NFL Picks – Minnesota at Green Bay8:20 PM Lambeau Field
The Packers are going to find the Vikings sneaking up ever closer if they are not careful. With Favre returning to Green Bay, it should be the most emotional game of the season thus far. Certainly, the Vikings are capable of winning in Green Bay, and I think they will do just that and make the division a bit tighter in the process.
Winner – Minnesota Vikings
MON, OCT 25
Week Seven NFL Picks – NY Giants at Dallas8:30 PM Cowboys Stadium
The Giants and Dallas used to be a premier match up, but Dallas is simply killing themselves this season so far. I do think they will pull out a tough win against the G-men at home, but they are toast for the season if they do not string a few wins together fast.
Winner – Dallas Cowboys
Score – Dallas 27 New York 17
bye: Detroit, Indianapolis, NY Jets, Houston
Week Six Record – 10 – 3 Pending Monday Night Game
Season Record – 50 – 39 Pending Monday Night Game
