What Are the Best Skin Exfoliators?

by bogbit

Build up occurs on our skin on a daily basis. If not from makeup, it will pile up due to just being outside going about your usual daily beat. Dirt from the air, and skin drying out from the sun will cause the skin to become clogged, and could even cause break outs if you do not treat your face with the daily goods that it needs in order to stay clean, fresh, and not to mention youthful looking.

Exfoliants are the very first thing you will need in order to maintain the look of your skin, or in some cases, to rid your skin of acne.

Not all exfoliants are created equally though, and weeding your way through the massive amounts of available exfoliants is a tedious, and not to mention, expensive task if you are new to it.

First you have to figure out what your skin type is. There is an exfoliant out there for every type of skin, so figure out what you would need for your skin type. If you have oily skin, seek out exfoliants that promise to rid your skin of oil. If you have sensitive skin, you will want to keep a close eye out for exfoliants that promise not to be harsh on those with sensitive skin. If it is acne you are looking to rid your skin of, then naturally you would seek out an exfoliant that promises to do just that.

Some of the very best exfoliants in my opinion come from a well known company known as Olay. However if you are looking to exfoliate your whole body you will want a body scrub, and the best body scrubs I have ever come across belong to an exclusive to Target brand of bath and body goods called Soap & Glory. Their body scrubs will not just rid your skin of dirt, debris, and oils, but they also leave the skin feeling clean, silky, soft and my favorite of course is the lovely musky scent that will stay with you after using the exfoliant.

To get a good scrubbing you will want to use the body scrub in the bath, which will allow you to rub the product around your body, while allowing you to quickly rinse it off. After you got a good exfoliation you can then stand up and run your shower to remove any left over product.

Soap & Glory is also safe on those of you with sensitive skin.

Now to really go the extra mile in pampering your skin to its utmost perfection, you will want to use a body lotion on your body afterward to seal in moisture. For your face, you will need a moisturizer as well, but it’s not a great idea to use the same body lotion on your face, so purchase a lotion designed for your face. Any lotion will do, for aging skin use one with line filling properties, or Hyaluronic Acid to really bring a youthful look back to the skin.

Beautiful skin is not hard to achieve at all, but you really have to know where to start, and your first start in getting a youthful glow, and clean, clear skin all starts with your exfoliant.
