“Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!” That was Eve Plumb’s signature phrase (as her character, Jan Brady) on the Brady Bunch. She was the icon of a middle child, and entertained us all for years. But where is she now? What ever happened to Eve Plumb?
The Brady Bunch ran on ABC from 1969 to 1974, and continues to be shown in syndication. At a time when divorce and remarriage were on the rise in America, the entertaining show presented a blended family (both parents had children from prior marriages) that was stable and loving. After the show went off the air, a number of reunion movies were made. [Source: The Brady Bunch – Wikipedia. Downloaded October 20, 2010 from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Brady_Bunch].
Aside from her appearance in reunion shows, we have not seen much of Eve Plumb (aka Jan Brady). What has she been up to?
Since the Brady Bunch was canceled, Eve Plumb has continued to act, appearing in numerous television shows and on stage. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing her on the TV show Fudge in the 1990’s, where she played the main character’s mother. Her primary pursuit these days, though, is oil painting, at which she is reportedly quite talented. She lives in Laguna Beach, California with husband Kenneth Pace. [Source: Eve Plumb – Wikipedia. So, Jan seems to have a pretty normal life. Apparently, middle children can turn out all right. Maybe one of the advantages of succeeding as a child star is that you can eventually grow up and not look too much like your former self. Eve Plumb can probably go out in public without being recognized too much.
