Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 of the final chapter will be released in theaters this November 19, 2010. After he is done playing the nerdy wizard, Daniel Radcliffe’s career will take another turn. He is slated to play many other roles – some choices are rather surprising.
The 21-year-old actor will star in a new movie role, The Woman in Black, based on 1983 book by Susan Hill. Radcliffe will play a serious role as Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer from the 1920s who uncovers ghostly secrets in a Victorian haunted house. The movie which he is now filming in scripted by Jane Goldman of Kick-Ass fame and will be directed by James Watkins.
Meanwhile this spring he will return to Broadway to star in a musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” But without trying much, Daniel Radcliffe has already fallen into some controversy. He is quoted by Dazed and Confused, a print UK magazine:
“I said to my friend the other day. ‘Dude. I’m doing a show with dancers. I’ve got to be single. he was like. ‘Don’t sleep with anyone in your own show. That’s a mistake.’ It’s good advice, but I’m not sure I’ll stick to it. I have a habit of falling in love with people at work. I fall in love very easily.”
In the musical, he will play a young man who works his way from mail room to the corporate board.
And for the die hard Harry Potter fans-don’t worry-he will star in Part II of the Final Chapter, a movie that will be released July 2011.
