Grace Miller Fall Festival
Grace Miller Elementary School located at 1629 Holly Oak Street in
La Verne will be having a Fall Festival on Thursday, October 28, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a costume parade from Kuns park to Grace Miller Elementary School. The costume parade will be followed by a hot dog dinner hosted by the PTA and carnival style food and game booths hosted by each classroom. The cost of the games will be .50 cents each and the hot dog dinner will be $4.00 This event is open to family, friends and neighbors of Grace Miller students. Participants in the costume parade must start lining up at Kuns park at 5.00 pm. Anyone can walk in the parade but participants must wear a costume. The winners of the costume contest will be announced during the Fall Festival. Kuns park is located at 1600 Bonita Avenue in the city of La Verne, California. Little Peoples Costume Parade and Trick or Treating
On Saturday October 30 beginning at 10:00 a.m. the CVS Plaza Merchants and The La Verne Community Services Department will be hosting the 30th annual Little Peoples Costume Parade and safe Trick or Treat event. The parade and trick or treating will take place at the CVS plaza on the corner of Foothill and Wheeler in the city of La Verne, California. The event is open to children 12 and under. The days activities begin with a costume parade around the shopping center, followed by trick or treating the local merchants and random drawings for prizes donated by local merchants. The prize drawings will be held at 11:00 a.m. and you must register to be eligible. Registration forms will be available prior to the drawing, During the costume parade and trick or treating make sure and stop in at CVS Pharmacy for a free 4″X6″ photo of your child in their Halloween costume. Entertainment during the event will be provided by the City of La Verne Cheer and the City of La Verne Gymnastic Demonstration Team This is a free event and will be held rain or shine. Old Town Trick or Treating
On Saturday, October 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. children and their families are invited to participate in safe trick or treating in Old Town, La Verne. Local merchants will have candy and other surprises for trick or treaters who visit their shops and businesses during the hours of the safe trick or treat.
