This game is a reboot of Konami’s classic series and this is a good thing because now anyone can pick this title up and enjoy the best action game out on the market.
This Castlevania: Lords of Shadow review gives the story 4 stars. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow story is set up as a reboot to the franchise and gets it’s high rating not only for some interesting plot twists, but also from the incredible presentation. I don’t want to spoil anything plotwise about the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow story, so I’ll talk more about the presentation. The majority of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow story is told in the narration at the beginning of each and every chapter. The fact that these narrations are voice by Patrick Stewart is a huge plus. His tremendous acting experience allows him to convey the mood of the story perfectly. Of course, as you play the game you get to pick up bits and pieces of the story during the actual game as well. This is also a good addition to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow story because it keeps the story active in your head while you’re enjoying the gameplay.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow gameplay is the strongest part of the game and gets 5 stars from this Castlevania: Lords of Shadow review. Castelvania: Lords of Shadow gameplay is simple but super in depth. Your character, Gabriel Belmont, comes equiped with only one weapon: a cross with a 50 foot chain inside it. As you go through the game though you get four sub weapons, different amulets for light and dark magic, and you can mix and match everything while learning tons of different combos.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow gameplay is amazing at taking so little and making so much from it. There are twelve different chapters in the game and each chapter has quite a few levels, but as you progress in the game and get new items and new combos you can replay an old level again to get newer items and do things you couldn’t do beforehand. Castelvania: Lords of Shadow gameplay thus takes an already huge game and adds an immense replayability to it.
It is great that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow gameplay make you want to revisit old levels, because each and every level has a varied and amazing graphical quality to it. The graphics are so good that this Castlevania: Lords of Shadow review gives them the same 5 stars the gameplay got. This game really brings out the bets in both the ps3 and the xbox360. While fixed camera angles very rarely cause an issue with cheap enemy attack, they provide some amazing animations. Every bit of the landscape is incredibly detailed and the character designs are top notch. There arent many framerate issues and everything runs very fluid with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow graphics.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow audio quality is the best for its genre. The music for the most part is grandscale orchestrical and even choirish at times. Of course the voice acting is also superb and can not be matched by any other game in this genre. The only thing really lacking from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow audio selection is some of the old school classic Castlevania songs. Since this game is a complete reboot of the series though, i can live with that. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow gets 4 1/2 stars.
