A long time ago I read a story about this guy from Poland, who came to America during the recession; he arrived in New York City to Live. This guy came over with hardly any money. He was able to get a one room apartment along with his first job working in a restaurant cleaning the floors and tables after they closed at night for minimum wages.
As time went on with his new job, he began learning to read and write English. He then started to have an interest in the stock market. Living in New York, I’m sure he has seen a lot of reading material about it. Sometimes people left the Wall Street Journal on the tables along with other magazines that he would take home to read. He learned how the stock market works and how to pick stocks. He took the big leap one day and started investing in the stock market, with any spare money he could earn and continued to read the Wall Street Journal.
The years rolled by until one day he did not show up for work so they went to his apartment and found him dead, he died of old age. His room was filled with stacks and stacks of Wall Street Journal’s. He saved every one of them; they were probably like gold to him. They also found out that he was a millionaire from all the years he invested in the stock market. The amazing part of this story is, he continued to work for minimum wages sweeping the floors and cleaning the same restaurant until the day he died. The most important thing out of the story is. This guy came over from another Country, had to learn and speak English, he made just enough money to live, he was able to budget his money and scrimp up enough just to invest. He learned all he could about the stock market, the more he learned the more he built his confidence to invest in the stock market and he did this making just minimum wages. If you have the will to be a millionaire it can be achieved.
