If you are need some comedy added back into your life then you won’t want to miss Fifth Third’s Broadway Across America performance of Young Frankenstein at the Aronoff Center in Downtown Cincinnati. The performances run from November 16th thru 28th 2010.
This musical performance is based on the 1974 hit movie by director
Mel brooks and writer actor Gene Wilder. There slap stick comedy, and light
skits resulting in a award winning film, nominated for 2 Oscars, and winning
The Hugo, Writer Guild, and Nebula awards. The movie was highly popular and generated over 86 million dollars.
The story involves a young neurosurgeon who inherits his grandfather’s science lab and research center. His grandfather was very famous scientist Dr. Victor van Frankenstein. However the young Dr. Frankenstein didn’t give much merit to his grandfather’s work until he finds a reanimation experiment the Doctor had been working on and wrote concerning it one of research logs. This research peaks the grandson’s interest and there is where the fun begins. The young Dr. Frankenstein is aided by a hunchback assistant named Igor, a lovely lab assistant Inga, and a housekeeper. The Casts performs entertaining musical performance ballets of such songs a Transylvania Mania and Putting on the Ritz.
